OVER 40 SOCIAL DANCE CLUB

The Club is a well established non profit dance and social club for people over 40 who like dancing old time and new vogue sequence dances. Our current (2009) membership is 133.

Our average attendance is over 80 people and we dance to live music which is played by five different groups on different nights.

Songs are appropriate to the dances and range from old time music hall through evergreen standards to country and western from a wide period of musical history. Many members sing along while dancing and this provides a happy atmosphere.

Dress is neat casual for the most part but some of the ladies like to wear their finery at times. Members generally get a little more formal for the Annual Ball and get into the spirit of theme nights with appropriate costumes.

Supper and free cool drinks are provided and there are lucky door and lucky spot prizes, a Monte Carlo waltz and raffles.
